ancient music

Winter is icummen in,
Lhude sing Goddamm,
Raineth drop and staineth slop,
And how the wind doth ramm!
      Sing: Goddamm.

Skiddeth bus and sloppeth us,
An ague hath my ham.
Freezeth river, turneth liver,
      Damn you, sing: Goddamm.

Goddamm, Goddamm, 'tis why I am, Goddamm,
      So 'gainst the winter's balm.

Sing goddamm, damm, sing Goddamm,
Sing goddamm, sing goddamm, DAMM.

      — Ezra Pound

I must express a strong sense of shock at the blithe disregard with which you cast aspertions on the literary integrity of the gentlemanly class. You, sir, evidently know nothing in the least of you betters. Kindly supply your name and address so that members of your local literary society can locate you and administer corrective discipline. Thankyou, in advance, for your co-operation.
